YUCATAN NEWS - H1N1 Virus Not a Concern

All recent surveys and reports show that there is no undue cause for alarm to travel in Mexico. The reports confirm that while the “swine flu” virus can spread widely, it is not currently severe in SE Mexico (Yucatan) and its effects are generally less drastic than those of the normal flu virus.

WILD9 Editorial

It has been a very busy month here at the WILD9 Secretariat, and the excitement is really building for November. We have many interesting and notable confirmed speakers and the opportunities for delegates are increasing everyday – pre and post Congress trainings, tours and field trips, workshops and concurrent sessions, evening cultural events and celebrations!  With less than 70 days until the opening ceremonies, we’ll be sending more updates, posting more news and working harder than ever to make WILD9 THE conservation forum of 2009. Looking forward to seeing you all in Merida.  -  Jaime Rojo, WILD9 Executive Director.
